![]() Once you reach a certain level of profit, you can also invest in transportation using Sea and Air. The computer will build the competing companies by giving the user good competition and thus make the gameplay interesting.Īs you gain more and more profits, you simply need to upgrade your logistics as you are offered during the game. There will be grants and offers offered by local administrative authorities that can be used to make additional profits. Once the game is started, you can start running your business.Īll you have to do is build train stations or train or bus stations to transport people and goods from one place to another. ![]() When you come across the game's home screen, you can play a new game, load or create a scenario. And I liked how the color production was improved compared to the classic version. It takes about 20 hours to complete the game. During this virtual period, you will enjoy a whole range of newer and better quality logistics solutions to run your business. Other than that, you get what you come for. ![]() But when I went on my laptop with a 1080p screen, things started to improve a bit. The only problem was that the graphics could not evolve properly on my Surface Pro 6. When you launch the game for the first time, you access the home screen as follows: While Frontier does both, its clearly the priority went into making a shallow console game with limitations of using an IP from Universal (Ive been visiting Frontier, as i designed one of the mascots of Planet Coaster, and they said that much, and me and my studio working with disney for minecraft, I undertand what they are talking about).OpenTTD – New Transport Tycoon Deluxe gameĭownload and install OpenTTD was quite simple. JWE1 and 2 are shells of management games, with ZERO creative tools and mediocre management, so they can work mainly on consoles (Planet Coaster on consoles is a crap version of PC, and Zoo is never touching consoles in a few years, both games eat cpu for lunch). Planet Coaster are incredible sim building creative games, thats their forte, and even zoo has, even if still shallow for more intrincate managemnt game standards, an improved managment, without fucking up the creative tools. I wouldnt put in the same category Planet Coaster and Zoo to JWE1 and 2. If you like more building and want to build anything possible, Planet Coaster is your game (Or even Planet Zoo if you like more animals than rides). If you like more management, parkitect is your modern theme park game. There are a lot of tycoon-ish niches that feel like they are fertile ground for a talented indie team to rediscover. Like what Stardew Valley did for farming games, or Hollow Knight (and many others) did for metroidvanias. But even big ones struggle to put out the kind of productions a moderately large studio like Lionhead used to make in a timely manner. Obviously, indie games nowadays are more numerous and better than ever before. They feel like one of the many examples of the hollowing out of the industry into big companies and indies, with the companies that used to fill the middle niche mostly dying. Like even stuff like Fable III was alright and earlier they were putting out Black and White, The Movies, and Fable all of which are super interesting games. Lionhead was so great, while people soured on them due to Molyneux being a bit obnoxious, up until the end I don't think they put out a genuinely bad game. Click to shrink.Yeah, the tone was honestly very similar to The Sims in being a blend of realism and goofy hijinks.
